This
is about the first production VCR with front loading mechanism. Previously, they
were top loading and ejection was mainly mechanical. This type requires
a driving motor and guire mechanical to direct out the cassette to the
front. Most, if not all VCR from that year were made with front loading
mechanism. This model is from General Electric but in reality,
Matsushita made the mechanic (and maybe The whole unit). Even if the
video resolution was of medium quality as they were 2 heads, they were
reliable. This unit is still working. It is Pre-HQ so it could dub
cassettes without any decoders.
